  • Is breakfast included with our stay?

    Yes, breakfast is included with your stay. Our guests are served from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., in our Café. The Café is open to the public until 5:00 P.M.

  • How far from the beach are you located?

    About 1/2 a mile; a little less than 10 minutes walk or 2 minutes on a bike. There is also a free public beach trolley in Grayton Beach that runs from 6 AM to 10 PM.

  • Can we check in early?

    Because we may need to clean your room before you arrive, check in time is normally 3:00 pm. However, if no one stays in the room the night before and we do not need to clean, early check-in may be possible.If you would like an early check-in, give us a call the day before or morning of your arrival and we will tell you how it is looking.

  • What happens if I arrive late, after the office closes?

    There is a late arrival rack to the left of the front office door where you will find a welcome letter with your name on it. Your welcome letter will provide directions to your room.

  • Can we have a late check out?

    Because we may need to get the room ready for another guest, normal check-out time is 11:00 am. However, if you check in with us the day you are leaving and no one is coming into the room, we may be able to allow a noon check-out.

  • How do deposits and payments work? What is your cancellation policy?

    When a reservation is made, we require payment for the first night of the reservation as a deposit. The balance will be due upon arrival.Cancellations made prior to 3 days of your scheduled arrival will be refunded less a 25.00 + tax cancellation fee. For cancellations made within 3 days of your scheduled arrival, your deposit will be forfeit.

  • What amenities do you provide? Wi-Fi? Washer and dryer? Microwave?

    All 13 of our rooms include Wi-Fi, breakfast in the cafe, satellite TV, air conditioning, private bathroom, iron & ironing board, a blow dryer and beach towels. Our three Flats have their own full kitchen, while the Tropical bird and Romance rooms share a full kitchen. Rooms without a kitchen have a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker, and two of those have a small kitchenette with sink and counter space.

    In addition, the Flats come with a small washer and dryer. Four rooms have their own private porches and the Romance room has a Jacuzzi-style tub.

  • When are your office hours?

    Our office is open in the morning from 9:30am to 11:00am and in the afternoon from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

  • What do you have for parking?

    There is plenty of off-street parking for our guests in the guest house parking lot. We ask that our guests not use the café parking, so as to allow parking for café customers.

  • Will you provide housekeeping during our stay?

    Our rooms are stocked with 4 sets of towels to begin with. We will change out new towels upon request. If your room is not stocked with certain amenities, we will be happy to restock.

  • Where can I get ice?

    We do not have an ice machine that is accessible to the public, however, if you come into the café, during breakfast, we will be glad to help you out. We are available to provide ice between 8am-5pm only.

  • Do you allow pets?

    We have 3 rooms where we allow pets: Flat Two, Art Deco and Funky Bird which can all accommodate one to two clean, non-barking pets. We charge a pet fee of $25.00 per night per pet (up to 2). We do not allow pets on furniture. For the health and well-being of guests who might have allergies, pets are not permitted in any except for these rooms.

  • What types of payment do you accept?

  • Do you offer beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas or bicycles for your guests?

    We are partnered with Vacayzen beach chair rentals, located at Grayton Beach Access. Use the “hibiscus” discount code for 15% off. We do provide beach towels for guests to use. If you want fresh beach towels, we can swap them out upon request. Please refer to our Local Information page; a list of local businesses that we think might be helpful to our guests. In addition to bikes and beach stuff, it shares places to eat here in Grayton Beach, where the local grocer, pharmacy and laundromat are, airport information, emergency numbers, transportation, etc.

    Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) in Panama City is 31 miles away.Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) is 39 miles away.
